Pushing the Limits of Drone Operations
DroneWild is embarking on a proof of concept project that will see it use one of the most capable heavy lift drones in Europe in a forest environment. Starting in January 2026 – DroneWild will initially use the FlyingBasket 3 across three large areas on the National Forest Estate. Tasks will include deer carcass extraction, movement of tree saplings and other forest materials.
The second phase will focus on ten areas across the national forest estate and continue the trial. Please watch this space for further information about this service and how the trials progress.
