Using Drones for Wildlife Monitoring and Surveying

This course has been developed in partnership with Lantra, one of the UK’s leading awarding bodies for land-based industries across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

The course is designed for anyone with an interest in using drones for wildlife applications. This includes professionals and organisations working in wildlife, conservation, and land management, as well as individuals with a specific project or research objective in mind. The course supports the effective integration of drone technology into monitoring practices.

Whether tracking deer across woodland or surveying open moorland for nesting sites, participants will gain the practical skills and knowledge required to carry out safe, ethical, and effective wildlife surveys using both thermal and optical drone systems.
